SXSW St. Paddy’s Celebration

Austin was packed to the brim with returning music lovers and green beer connoissuers (like myself ) this Saturday, as the St. Patrick’s Day festivities coincided with the SXSW weekend. The weather was great for afternoon green beers at Kung Fu Saloon in between treks down 6th, and Congress where the streets were alive with saxophone savvy squatters, werewolf violin players and lap top wielding rappers. And a whole lot of tacky green foam fingers. Ending the night at the free concert series at Auditorium Shores, The Cult played a packed gig and blew the crowd away, especially the woman who drooled over a shirtless Matthew McConaughey who joined the band as a Guest bongo player.

With every building packed full to the brim, barely room to walk in the streets and my seven dollar beer being spilled all over me; Still the atmosphere remained buzzing with innocent inebriated shennanigans, and an endless variety of international tunes, for free!
